Thank You For The Memories

When my adored aunt died, my cousin found an envelope filled with the letters I had written to her mother.

Reading those letters were a revelation. Some of the letters were four pages long, filled with observations and details of my daily life. One letter was particularly heartfelt. I was about to go to college and my aunt must have sent me a note suggesting I would “forget about her.” (Can you imagine a time when people would write a four page letter?)
