I Like A Note…

…enclosed with a check. Why?  Isn’t a payment for services enough?

I don’t think so.

I rack my brain looking for ideas to project fabulous and enclosing a personal note along with a check is perfect.  It tells someone you’re appreciative of their work and you don’t operate from the vantage point that everything is all business. Everything is not all business.

The check minus the personal note sums up all the other things we’re missing — relationships, good manners, and making people feel good about themselves.  It also says “I see you.”

“I see you.”  I love it.

I agree. I leave notes with tips after service well done. This is particularly important in the hotel and cruise industry for those who have taken care of us for a period of time…making sure our needs are met. The extra tip with a note gives recognition and peace of mind. It proves the service was appreciated and also ensures they will not be accused of taking money from the room

    Dearest Fabulous Ellen,
Yes, a note is such a classy thing to do, I just sent a check with a note enclosed last week.
Now I need your advice….last December I sent my god daughter a very hefty check and card. The check was not cashed for six weeks and I never received an acknowledgement. Now I am invited to her birthday party, I do not want to attend, am I thinking straight????
    Help needed, Gail
