I love sales…but…I pre-shop sales. When a new season begins, I have fun going to the different sites and dropping my favorite items in the cyber shopping cart. Then, I wait for the sale…and wait…..and wait. Sometimes, the item, in my size will make it to the second markdown. Only, then do I start circling the wagons. If I still like it and the deal is right…i go for it! This happened with a Rachel Zoe dress that I fell in love with last Spring. It was 895.00 and I would only be wearing it for special occasions. That did not make sense for me…but…I put it in my cart. The first mark down dropped the price, but I still could not afford it. THEN it dropped to 358.00…no taxes…free shipping. It is coming home!
Dear Lisa clever woman: You were right on the money. You pre-selected and then waited for the price to go down. Very savvy. That is very unlike most people who shop by impulse when there’s a sale. I have a closet filled with those “mistakes.” Clearly that dress is something you wanted but not full-price so it’s a strategy. Congratulations — you have the system figured out. Best regards as always, E.

“Guaranteed Good Chat” or GCC. GGC is shorthand when I’m making an introduction by email or text. A GGC is bright and delightful. Well-informed but not haughty.
