Two new fans

I heard your interview on KKNW this morning and became hooked on what you had to say. Two hours later I went to a wedding and started a discussion with an interesting woman. We began to discuss the importance of “putting your best foot forward everyday” (not just at weddings). We were both in agreement and very enthusiastic about the idea when I asked “hey, did you happen to listen to a fabulous woman on KKNW this morning?” and she said YES!  almost in unison we both said “I am buying her book!!”

Just wanted you to know that you have two new fans in Seattle today. Thank you for sharing your message.

The Tips Were Perfect!

I’m writing because not only did I love your book, The Essentials of Fabulous, Because Whatever Doesn’t Work Here Anymore, I was hoping you may be able to point me in the right direction. Your book was given to me over Christmas. I actually read it front to cover several months ago and was inspired to become more fabulous! Honestly, the tips were perfect!

Could Not Have Come At a More Opportune Time.

I just finished reading The Essentials of Fabulous.  I am a recent college graduate who has just joined the workforce in Austin, Texas …And let me tell you, this book could not have come at a more opportune time.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!  This book is truly…dare I say it… Fabulous!    I’m telling all of my friends about your incredible book.

Required reading.

The book is perfection.

The Essentials of Fabulous has a magical quality to it.  As a bookseller, I’m always in awe when a book just flies off the shelf.  That’s exactly what happens when we put Ellen Lubin-Sherman’s books out for sale. The book sells itself –when we opened at the Architectural Digest show in March, most of the books were sold on the first day to the most discriminating of buyers – architects and designers. They recognized that everything about the book is perfection.

Thank you!

I am writing to gracefully utter, ” Thank You! ” for writing such a refreshing, humorous and direct piece of literature. It is important for me to re-read it several times and take notes.There are some points that are innately me and others I have to nurture and bring back to life.

Also, your most recent blog post titled, “Conquering the Serengati Plain” was so timely and is really helping me this particular morning.

Fun to read.

I bought your book last weekend at Gito in Millburn, NJ. It is one of the nicest looking books I have ever seen. I love the cover, typeface, layout and the pictures. All of it. I love the content even more. I am a slow reader and I promise to get through it more quickly than usual. I can picture you saying what you have written which makes it all the more fun to read.

Heart Palpitations.

I just started reading your book and think I will finish it today. You ARE and the book is FABULOUS. I am going to have my daughters’ read it and Mark too.

So thrilling to read it my heart is palpitating. It is so YOU. Everything about YOU comes through in the book. Which is why YOU are FABULOUS. What a treat you have given the world. Going to look for my peep toe shoes.

Your book has changed my life.

Dear Ellen,

Your book has touched me, has changed my life. I am re-reading it to highlight passages, in essence to metaphorically enlarge for the ceiling over my bed. I need to start my day with reminders of many of your thoughts.

I am dancing in a shower of confetti, celebrating. Wearing my “new shoes” of life that I am loving and enjoying. Trés chic and trés comfortable.
