I spent hours styling my Barbie doll to find "her look." Since none of her outfits came with a newsboy cap or floral knee socks, I gave up on Barbie and focused more on Ken's penchant for accessories. I do adore hats and socks.

In 1967, the principal of Andries Hudde Junior High School (Brooklyn, NY) got on the loudspeaker and announced, "Girls may not wear culottes to school.  If you do, it will go on your permanent record." It went on my permanent record and that is why I bought these culottes a few years ago.
